In-SeKURity

I tend to be an insecure person at times. It really just comes in phases. And I am here to tell you.. I am in an insecure funk.

I have one photo session lined up and that's it. I have tons of projects I want to do and no dollar dollar bills, y'all to pay for them. So, I blog... and no comments. I KNOW my self-worth isn't tied to how many blog comments are out there, but DANG they sure do make you feel better.

I don't feel like working out. I don't feel like eating right. I just want to be lazy.

I want to write about stuff that I love and that people want to read about. I feel like this blog needs to take a new direction. The joy of blogging has been sucked away from a crazy person and I am not comfortable putting all my stuff out on the internet for certain people to read.

Please tell me.. what do you want to read about? Running? Crafts? Fashion? The girls?

What do you do to get out of a funk?

Sorry for the word vomit of insecurities today...

  1. I have been in a funk too- I didn't want to do anything but sleep. No friends, no music, no housework, no work work, no tv. Nothing made me happy and I was feeling very under-appreciated. Somehow I woke up feeling much better this morning - hope that happens to you too!

  2. I have spent the last week not exercising and eating Oreos.

I love your blog. I love your fabulous self.

    And I think you're hot, dammit! :)

  3. Don't get down on yourself, I've been giving into my lazy and sitting around on the couch, eating junk and ignoring the world. I went to Body Pump once and thought I was going to die. :-(

I love reading everything you write and I've just been awful at commenting. Comments always make my day too, it's a little sad but very true.

As for getting out of a funk, I usually give it some time and possibly a large tub of Ben and Jerry's. Again sad but true. Sometimes just writing it all out or talking to a friend and getting everything off your chest helps too.

I think you are just fantastic. I love the way you write, I love your photography and the fact that you look fantastic! :-)

Hope your day turns around :-)

I understand completely about this funk - I am the same way and have been fighting it off and on for a while. I hope it gets better soon :)

  5. I felt the exact same way yesterday. When I don't have anything to blog about, I go do something totally out of the ordinary - it gets me out of the house and gives me some inspiration:)

  6. I was in a serious funk earlier this week - must be something going around. I have these insecurities all the time! I love blogging - it almost kind of validates me and my ordinary life so when there's not a lof of feedback it makes me wonder what people are thinking!

I will say I read you blog every time you post and rarely comment. I love seeing all of the crafty stuff you do (I live vicariously though you because I don't have a crafty bone in my body). I also think your girls are adorable.

Hope you get of out of your funk soon!

  10. I'm a new follower.. I saw a link to Brooke Story's guest post and I've been reading ever since. (In a non-creeper kind of way) ;) I'm from Cullman, so I kind of felt some sort of connection. I love reading about your girls and your love of motherhood. I'm a red-head and looking forward to starting a family, too.. And I love the fashion tips! Keep it up!

  13. I was in a HUGE funk last week (I posted a couple posts about it on my blog). I totally get what you're feeling. But know that there are tons of people who visit you every day and love to hear what you have to say!!!

  14. I enjoy all of those topics you post about! I'm a mom who runs and loves fashion and decorating too, so everything is right up my alley (except sports, because we Californians don't get nearly as excited about our teams... but I still read those posts because I enjoy your writing and sense of humor!). When I get in a blogging funk I usually just don't post for a month- ha! Just family and friends read my blog, and they don't comment a lot. I like the feedback, but oh well!
