Say Whaatt?!

I've been throwing around starting a "say whhaatt?" segment here on the 'ol bloggity blog strictly based on things that the girls say. Addy has some hilarious things come out of her mouth and I really want to document it. I have been known to say some stupid things in my life and so I will post those here so you can all point and laugh at me too and not just John. So, if you hate "Kids say the darndest things.." then, you probably won't like this post.

Last week, I told Addy that I had a headache- hoping to get some sympathy out of her. She turned, looked at me and asked, "Why does your head hurt? Did you do something to it? Or is it just the voices in your head?"

Yesterday she was wanting to play on the ipad and I told her no and then she proceeds to throw a fit and say, "But my ipad(her leapfrog) doesn't have any angry birds on it!"

There is a picture of my dad and I out the day I got married and she asked, "Is this the day when you married Boom Pa?"

The amount of questions Addison asks will make your eyes cross.. seriously. It goes something like this.

A: "Were you at the beach in this picture?"
Me: "No. I think that was a party for when we got married."
A: " When you got married?"
Me: "Yep."
A: "Why did you have a party?"
Me: "Because thats what people do to celebrate."
A: "Where was I?"
Me: "You weren't here yet."
A: "Was I in your belly?"
Me: "No. I wasn't pregnant yet."
A: "Well, where was I?"
Me: "Uhh..."
A: "Tell ME!!"
Me: "Well.. you weren't in my belly yet, because I wasn't married. You have to be married to have a baby." And then I ran away and asked God for forgiveness for telling my 4 year old a lie.

And for my stupid comment of the week- I don't know why I have been quietly laughing about this lately, because I said it months ago!
When the first pictures surfaced of Ryan Reynolds as the Green Lantern, John and I were talking about it. And then, the first trailer came out. And I just *knew* something was missing. So, I thought about it. I asked John, "Hey! Where is his bow and arrow?" John replied with, "What bow and arrow?" I was getting all exasperated, "You KNOW! His bow and arrow!!" John looked at me. "That's the Green Arrow."
Ohhh... Whoops. Can't keep all those Super Heroes straight.

Implanted... but not the kind you are thinking

I went to the doctor yesterday and had the Implanon implanted into my arm. It is a birth control implant that lasts for 3 years. I'm not going to lie, I was pretty pumped about it. The numbers are good for it, it is progesterone based, so I can continue to breast feed Claire, and I don't have to worry about taking a pill everyday, which I ALWAYS forget. Seriously... I have a daily alarm to remind me to take my Concerta. So, I get there yesterday and get back into the room and the nurse brings the tray with all the goodies. I looked it over, you know, seeing if I noticed anything from my nursing school days. I saw that it was a sterile procedure. And then I spotted it. The label. Implanon. I read over the outside of it. Then, I turned it over. *GASP* I shouldn't have done that. The needle was enormous!

This picture doesn't really do it justice as to HOW BIG the needle actually is. Dr. F came in and I quickly told her what I had done. She said, "Oh no! You shouldn't have done that. Don't worry, we numb you up first!" But... numbing "bee stings" freaking hurt too. It didn't take long and I honestly didn't feel anything after that, but when the doctor hands to a prescription for Darvocet, it doesn't ease your mind that it isn't going to hurt later.

As I was getting ready for bed, I took off my bandage to check how big the hole was, and look what I found!

Look at that bruise!!! Look at the size of the hole in my arm!! It looks a little worse this morning, but it doesn't hurt. And I can feel the implant in my arm, which feels a lot like Trixie's microchip that we had implanted in her.

Oh well, at least I don't have any worries about bringing another red headed princess into our family until we are FOR SURE ready. 'Cause, let's face it, I'm not sure my mental state can handle it.

Hot Tub Harris... Really?!!?

I have been SUPER PUMPED about The Bachelorette. There are no words for the excitement. I heart Jillian. She's seems like a lot of fun and a great girl. But, I have to say, I am little shocked with ABC for the losers they have chosen for her. These guys are complete goobs. She looked radiant in her white dress, but, REALLY ABC, why did you hose down the entrance?? All I could think about is how dirty the bottom of her dress was getting. Well, that wasn't the ONLY thing. Who dressed these guys? It was awful. It irks me that some of these guys wore jeans. I don't know why. C'mon... suit up!

1. Where did they get the guy who kept calling her Hot Tub Harris??? He was AWFUL. As soon as he said it, I KNEW he would not be getting the First Impression Rose or a rose of any kind. Unless, of course, it was a Worst First Impression Rose. He also called her a minx later on and that is just creepy.

( On a side note, why do these guys kiss her? It's awkward and makes me uncomfortable.)

2. The dance off made me uncomfortable too.

3. I feel like these guys would have been better off lifting their legs and peeing on her to mark their territory. It was ridiculous how they acted.

4. Creepy foot fetish guy needs to go. That is SO WRONG ON SO MANY LEVELS. I was glad that Hot Tub Harris guy didn't get a rose as well as that creepy model guy.

5. Why are these guys trying so hard? It's like a train wreck to watch. I do not want to hear how long they have waited to meet her, and that they knew they were the guy for her when they watched the show. ICK.

6. All in all, I would sum up last night's show as awkward, creepy, uncomfortable and cheesy. I have a couple of favorites such as Jake and Kiptyn. ( How sad was the guy that didn't get a rose that was almost crying about how he felt she was his soulmate? It made me sad, but also( you guessed it!) uncomfortable.

Can't wait to tune in next week!!!
