Hung Like a Light Switch??

The title says it all. Why would someone even SAY this on national television? Or feel the need to show it off? Really, Brian from The Bachelorette, there was NO NEED. There is not one woman in the world who would have given you a rose for that. WHEW!! I feel better now that I got that off my chest. Now, on to Wes the Musician... I don't like you. You creep me out more than feet man. You can have a coke! Don't inner-rupt! Rude!!! You do not have manners, and I really heart manners. I cannot believe you are from the South, because, I'm pretty sure your momma didn't raise you like that. Jake... you are my favorite. Even if you say things that are cringe-worthy and full of cheese. Really, I'm glad my husband brought me home a bottle of wine for all the cheese you were throwing at Jillian. But... I still like you the best. Even if you have watched too much Lifetime, with your kissing mid-sentence. (Is it me, or is Jillian giving away the milk for free? There was entirely too much making out for a first date. Even Philly said something about it, and if it is bad enough for him to make a comment, then you KNOW it is TOO much!)

I cannot give The Bachelorette my full attention today though. Try as I might. It has to go to Jon and Kate.

It was truly heartbreaking to watch that. Almost like a train wreck that you cannot take your eyes off( much like Brian and his hump-back whale). I feel bad for all of the kids. I do not know the specifics of who left/go kicked out of the house, but I do know, it was not fair for Kate to put together that birthday party alone. Step up, be a man. I do not know if all of the rumors are true, BUT, I do know that if that had been my husband being photographed at 2:00 in the morning, leaving a club, there would be hell to pay. And he can get off his high horse, because he is a guilty party. You cannot blame the fame that you brought on yourself. Based of what they said, it sounds as if, Kate wants to work things out and Jon is done. That is sad. I hope they can come through this.

If that is what they want.

Happy Birthday, SaSa!!

Today is a celebration of one of my favorite people. My Big Sis Sarah turns 31!! She is such an inspiration and a great mother to her two boys. We may have always had our Big Sis/Lil Sis moments, but all in all, she is the best sister I ever could have asked for. Here are some pics from over the years of the birthday girl!! We Love You, SaSa!! Hope you have a wonderful day!!

Hot Tub Harris... Really?!!?

I have been SUPER PUMPED about The Bachelorette. There are no words for the excitement. I heart Jillian. She's seems like a lot of fun and a great girl. But, I have to say, I am little shocked with ABC for the losers they have chosen for her. These guys are complete goobs. She looked radiant in her white dress, but, REALLY ABC, why did you hose down the entrance?? All I could think about is how dirty the bottom of her dress was getting. Well, that wasn't the ONLY thing. Who dressed these guys? It was awful. It irks me that some of these guys wore jeans. I don't know why. C'mon... suit up!

1. Where did they get the guy who kept calling her Hot Tub Harris??? He was AWFUL. As soon as he said it, I KNEW he would not be getting the First Impression Rose or a rose of any kind. Unless, of course, it was a Worst First Impression Rose. He also called her a minx later on and that is just creepy.

( On a side note, why do these guys kiss her? It's awkward and makes me uncomfortable.)

2. The dance off made me uncomfortable too.

3. I feel like these guys would have been better off lifting their legs and peeing on her to mark their territory. It was ridiculous how they acted.

4. Creepy foot fetish guy needs to go. That is SO WRONG ON SO MANY LEVELS. I was glad that Hot Tub Harris guy didn't get a rose as well as that creepy model guy.

5. Why are these guys trying so hard? It's like a train wreck to watch. I do not want to hear how long they have waited to meet her, and that they knew they were the guy for her when they watched the show. ICK.

6. All in all, I would sum up last night's show as awkward, creepy, uncomfortable and cheesy. I have a couple of favorites such as Jake and Kiptyn. ( How sad was the guy that didn't get a rose that was almost crying about how he felt she was his soulmate? It made me sad, but also( you guessed it!) uncomfortable.

Can't wait to tune in next week!!!

My Greatest Weakness...

In case you were wondering, my greatest weakness is my children. Or pictures of my children. Which is probably why one of the hardest things to do is to delete pictures of my children. It cannot be done... unless Philly forces me to push the delete button. Oh well...

Here are some pictures of Claire at 4 months. She is smiling, laughing, goo-ing and being the cutest baby I have seen since Addison. But, maybe I am biased. She has found her feet and is rolling over with great skill and scooting all over the place.

Disney World 2009

*WARNING- Long post with TONS of pictures!!*
We had a BLAST at Disney, but no vacation is complete without a couple of meltdowns, but all in all, it was a great time had by all. Addy did great on both flights and we had such a blast with John's family. To say Addy loved Frances and Grace was an understatement. Addy wasn't too keen on meeting the characters at Chef Mickey. She warmed up to them later on. We met all the Princesses and she was in HEAVEN. When she first met Sleeping Beauty she started singing I Know You, I walked with you once upon a dream... and then looked at Aurora and said, "You sing that song!" She knows and loves her some Disney songs. We rode several rides, but she didn't like the indoor ones because she associated them with Snow White's Scary Adventures. She also asked Ariel where her dinglehopper was. Oh my... We watch entirely too many Princess movies. Anyway, I am looking forward to going back in November. John and I rode the new Aerosmith ride at Hollywood Studios individually and It. Was. Awesome.

Show Us Where You Live Friday!

I am posting from Disney World! This is our living room/media room/play room. It is the heart and soul of our house. We have picked out everything in this room together. Now, we may not have end tables or a coffee table, but where would Addison dance if we did? Again, this room is VERY open and has a LOT of light. We LOVE our TV.... can you tell? I mean, it IS what Philly does for a living. If you need a TV, hit him up, because we do have two princesses who need new crowns.

This is the cuddle bag.. it has yet to meet a child who didn't like to jump on it.

Does this chair look comfy? Blanket ready for you and blogs waiting to be read.... DO NOT SIT DOWN! I mean it... it's my chair and I might hurt you over it... just kidding... you are a guest after all, sit wherever you would like... :)

Hope you enjoyed our living room! We certainly do! See you guys next week!

Not Me! Monday

Hello and Happy Monday everyone! Guess what decided to break again?? My coffee pot!! And I thought, well, I'll just make a cappuccino with John's espresso machine... He. Only. Bought. Decaf. WHAT?!!? Who does that? Anyway, I thought I'd share a good Not Me! Monday... because, well, you deserve to laugh at me. As always, Thanks to MckMama for her Not Me! Monday posts!

Upon giving up dairy for my sweet little Claire, I certainly DID NOT inform John that I couldn't eat a hamburger because it came from a cow. In case you're not following correctly, I ACTUALLY made the remark that a cow is part of a dairy product, not just that it produces the dairy. Whoops.

One of my best friends, Brooke, brought by a birthday present for me on Saturday, and up until this morning, I certainly DID NOT think it was a purse, when in fact, it was a flat iron holder. Umm... am I even allowed in Banana Republic anymore? I think not. I will not let you revoke my fashion police license.

One evening last week, I heard a great crash from Addison and Claire's bathroom and rushed to see that their light was missing over their toilet. Where did it go, you might ask? Well, it apparently had fallen into their toilet. And shattered. Everywhere. And it certainly is still NOT there, because we have YET to clean it up.

This weekend, John was watching Spiderman and Addison watched a little bit of it, looked at me, and said, "Where is my Spiderman dress??" Umm... what? We don't OWN anything Spiderman. Except for the two movies and some Band-Aids. And when told to go clean up her room, she certainly did not ask me, " Where is my Super Suit?" You know, from The Incredibles.

I certainly DID NOT do this to my daughters hair numerous times this week. It took 20 minutes to blow dry and flat-iron and she hated it because he bangs kept getting in her eyes.

Have a great week!

Show Us Where You Live Friday

My pictures are all out of whack, but Kelly decided to do a "Show Us Where You Live Friday" and today's room is the kitchen! Now, I don't LOVE my kitchen, but I do like it a lot. I wish it had more cabinet space, but i wish that about the rest of my house too. It's funny how adding just one more small little person can take up a WHOLE lot of room! Anyway, when we were looking at this house, the kitchen was one thing that caught our eye. You walk in from the dining room which is completely open to the living room. It is very functional and we really liked that. The pantry is built in, which is really nice. We recently bought a juicer(which I LOVE!!!) and an espresso machine and their new homes are on the counter. Now, since I am a type-A personality, you will notice that everything has "corners". Such as, "the beverage corner" or "the snack corner". Normally, I don't like so much "stuff" on the countertops, I think it looks cluttered, but since our family has grown, we just don't have room to keep everything in the cabinets. So, I hope you enjoy The McPhillips' Kitchen!
This is the view from the dining room. It is the only entrance to the kitchen. As you can see, our kitchen gets TONS of light, thanks to that little window!

This is our espresso machine as well as our "DVD corner". They have to stay there since a certain redhead will open any and all DVD cases and play with DVDs. They have to be out of reach! My bag of medicine fresh from the pharmacy is there too, since we are all sick. ( I am already feeling better with that white sack! Although, I am a $120 lighter!)

These are our glass cabinets that I LOVE. Around the top of the cabinets, I decorated with all of our Alabama serving pieces. I love those. Roll Tide!

Another view of the Alabama platters.( Please disregard my reflection in the glass.)

This is an area that I have NO idea what to do with. It's kind of a little desk area, but not big enough( and no plugs) for my computer. Right now, it just holds odds and ends and the telephone, but I am going to try to incorporate some type of organizational/mail area. If you have any ideas, let me know!

This is my stove and oven. I love my picture above it. It is the Brooklyn bridge. I love skyline pictures, as well as bridges and of course, who could not love New York?!!?

This is "Cookbook Corner". It's where all of my cookbooks are. It's right next to the stove and I love this little extra piece of countertop real estate.

Welcome to "Snack Central"! This is where all of our candy and snacks are. They won't fit in the pantry, plus, we need easy access to Raisinets and M&M's.

Last, but certainly not least, is my breast pump part basket. It has all of my breast pump parts after they have been washed and dried. Need a bottle? It will be here. Need a pump wipe? It's here too!
