I'm Alive.. no worries. Unless you didn't want me to be,

Hi all. It's me.
I'm alive.
Much like Kenny Chesney.

I've had a CrAzY busy couple of weeks and honestly, needed to drop some balls that I was juggling.
 I am all caught up.
Much like Usher.

So.. I give to you.. my past two weeks via my iPhone.. (which I now realize is totally copying Neely.. sorry, yo. It wasn't intentional.)

I ran 10 miles. It was glorious and not that painful. Which makes me quite hopeful for Savannah in 32 days.

I had dinner with the Big Guy.

I wore a dress you could see through.. by accident.

I learned the hard way not to wear high heels the day after running 10 miles, no matter how NOT sore your legs were that morning.

I ate BBQ. KIDDING. I most certainly did not. But a lot of people did. Including the Tide. Sorry Pig Sooie fans.

One of the reasons I love The Zone...
I ate my weight in cheesy potato wedges.
Had a date night with the Hubs.. and had a stranger ask me if I was going to the Fair. Which I was not.
My outfit for Savannah came in.. and the shorts are monsterously large and short. Good combo!
And last but not least... we had a sickness invade one of our children that allowed me to stay home from Gainesville.

I may or may not have had a little cry about it.. since on my 30 by 30 list is to go to every SEC stadium.. and we only play Florida about once every 5 years.. so... it's not going to happen. BUT, it should totally count, right? I mean.. I've seen them 4 other times. RIGHT???

Anyway.. as you can tell.. or maybe not? I am not doing a giveaway at my 400th post.. I do have the things needed for said giveaway, but just no time right now.

So.. eventually, grasshopper.

Bare with me.. as I have lost blogging motivation. I am trying to do better.

It's Gameday, People!

I know all of peeps don't get how big SEC football is in the South, but I promised you would get Alabama football overload, and here is the first post of it. :)

We decided not to tailgate since the game was at 11:00. It's so weird getting to be regular fans. We got there in enough time to go into one store- my new favorite- Ellie Crimson and I got a new dress and necklace- it's super cute. And then it was time to go in for the game. That's not nearly enough time for shopping. Can we boycott 11 am games from now on?

Lee and Alana went with us.. (SEE Robbie and Becca-- it would be so much fun if we cheered for the same team!)

I even took a My Style Monday fashion picture, but did Lindsey do the link on Monday? No. No she didn't.
I broke out the vintage hat and thought I might get some compliments on it.. the only people who commented on it, were older women who would remember the correct style of hat and not those crap imitations that are all over the place now.

Our seats are in the Zone.. directly above the student section, which I dig because of the band being right there. One thing I noticed.. the fraternity pledges no longer wear coats and ties, just dress shirts and khakis. This is a travesty. After the fans and tents I saw outside the sorority houses during rush, I think we are raising a Greek system of weaklings.

They did some awesome new videos for the season, including one on the April 27th tornadoes and a ceremony. It made me tear up- I know the terror I felt from the one in Cullman, and Tuscaloosa is 10 times more devastated than us. Not to mention, all the students, faculty, and athletes that were in it and lost loved ones.

I realized that I could see myself in the reflection of John's glasses...

During halftime, we went inside, and I kept seeing this girl and thinking she had taken her top off since the back of her dress looked like a bra. Incidentally, you could actually see her bra strap under her regular dress  clasp.

I found these bad boys while shopping.. It's a WIN.

Football Link Up!

Lindsey at Running Down a Dream is doing a football link up today. Who is your favorite college or Pro football team? How did you become a fan?

Well, I think we all know that I am a HUGE Alabama football fan. I have always been an Alabama football fan. Do I know everything about the game? Absolutely not. But I know more than the average girl. SEC Football is a whole different ballgame. It's a way of life here in the South. Don't try to get married or plan any events during football season, most people won't even show up.

The first game I went to as a student at the University of Alabama was Southern Miss. It was at Legion Field in Birmingham and I can remember riding the bus with the guy I went with and we missed kick off.

Philly is a crazy fan. I have accused him (which he does NOT like, btw) of loving his Crimson Tide more than me. Most of his closet is crimson with some gray thrown in. He never balks at buying something that can be worn during football season. I also think that his mood and attitude revolves around whether or not Alabama is having a good football season or not.

In 2009, at the beginning of the football season, John proclaimed that if Alabama went to the National Title Game, he was shaving his head.

Hello Blonde Hairs.

I have been to 2 SEC Championship games, 1 BCS National Title game, and more home games than I can count. I was there when Prothro made the greatest catch ever.

I have seen some of the greatest games and some of the worst. I have been to Neyland Stadium in Knoxville. Jordan-Hare in Auburn. The Rose Bowl in Pasadena.  At the end of this football season, I will add The Swamp to that list (Florida) Beaver Stadium( Penn State) to that list. My goal is to see a game in every SEC stadium.

We love tailgating, and come Football season, you will see tailgating fashion posts.

I have no idea where all my pictures of our tailgating set up went, but be on the look out because it's nothing short of amazing. I just wish that some of my best friends and I cheered for the same team. Because let's face it, Jana and Rebecca- we would be O.O.C (out of control).

Now.. let's help Lindsey pick a college football team, because she totally needs to be a Tide fan. We will welcome you with open arms, Linds!

Iron Bowl 2010

So.. The Iron Bowl was Friday. While, I may not want to talk about the actual game and how we handed Auburn the win, I WILL talk about the awesomeness that was our pre game sideline passes...I could have touched AJ McCarron.. too bad he couldn't pull a win out of his booty.

Why Hello Darius and Ezell!!

Here is Part Uno of my Ode to Mark Ingram... I could have touched him. And his butt.

His calves REALLY are that BIG!

Maze and JJJJUUUULLLLLIIIIOOOO......

John and his brother Jay( He's single ladies... and works for the Crimson Tide Sports Marketing-- good job, great sister in law... ;)

Me.. I could have totally rocked a microphone on the sidelines... Lemme at Tracy Wolfson...

She's lucky I didn't attack!!

Why yes, my husband did yell at her and she laughed.. and I took a picture.

It was a crazy awesome experience and I really wish I could bottle up the exhilaration of the 1st half... but, I cannot. But, I still love my Tide. We are NOT fairweather fans.. we love them no matter how they play. Win or Lose... the Tide is our third child.

The End. And Roll Tide.

And The Ruling On The Field Stands...

In case you live under a rock, Alabama dominated over those Florida Gators Saturday night to win their 22nd SEC Championship and get to play for their 13th National Title! Whoa.

We are headed to Pasadena, baby!!!!!!

"...Remember the Rose Bowl we'll win then!"

(On a side note, PEOPLE! It's "Yea, Alabama! Drown 'em Tide!" It's a pet peeve to hear people say, "Yea, Alabama! Crimson Tide!" Get the lyrics right, people. No wonder Auburn makes fun of us.)

Hey Gators!!!!

It was a phenomenal game! I can't even describe the feeling our actually winning that game.
I may or may not have been extremely ugly about Tebow crying on the jumbo-tron.
You will probably get extremely tired of reading my blog over the next month,
because it is going to be a Crimson Tide love-fest.

Fashion Friday... on Saturday!

Here is my very first Fashion Friday post! Unfortunately, it's Addison's Fashion Friday debut!
Let me tell you, this was no easy feat trying to get her to show off her cute outfit for the camera... it was an act of congress, so I think next time, I won't bother with her!

Cute shoes! She loves sparkly shoes!

She's starting to show some personality...

How grown up does she look?
I wish people didn't live in caves of houses so I could get some decent natural light pictures!

Her entire outfit came from Target! Can you believe it? I absolutely love their children's clothes.

In other news.... (Auburn fans... click away!)

ROLL TIDE!!!!!! Another 365 days of bragging rights! All of your trickery could NOT keep the Tide down!

I should probably say that, that was NOT directed at my sister or Jana. They are gracious Auburn fans who never rub it in your face, even after 6 victories in a row.( But.. in all honesty, Sarah isn't a TRUE Auburn fan, just a fan by association) So, sorry guys that your team lost! :( But, it kept the dream alive for Pasadena, and that I am SUPER pumped about! We are ready for next weekend. Those Florida Gators got nothing on us! I am so sick of Tim Tebow I could vomit. You would think he invited the game of football by the way the media swoons over his every move. Anyway... I am off to work on Christmas decorations!

Addy's First Alabama Football Game

This past Saturday The McPhillips family ventured down to T'town for the Alabama vs Kentucky game. We got there around 9:30 and went to the Walk of Champions and Addy met The Bear.
Addison wanted to know where Coach Saban was! So, we then walked over to the quad to tailgate for a little bit before going to visit Uncle Jay. Addison was such a big help for all the guys play their toss football game. She helped everyone get their footballs in the hole so they all won!

She also enjoyed watching the Million Dollar Band and the cheerleaders march their way to the stadium. She really wanted to see Big Al but we couldn't get up close and get a picture. Addison took great joy in telling everyone we met "Roll Tide!!" It was so cute! John's brother, Jay, was able to get us tickets for The Zone, which is the way to go with children!!! She really enjoyed sitting outside and watching the game and listening to the band play. She finally fell asleep during half-time, but the was about as long as she slept.

She didn't want to miss any of the action!! I can't reiterate enough how great she was!! It took a full days recovery, but we couldn't have asked for a better child! She ate crushed ice and popcorn the whole time! We ended up leaving the game after Alabama(FINALLY!) made a field goal with 2:00 minutes left in the game only to get back to the car and find out that Kentucky had scored!! UGH! Anyway, we were blocked in the parking lot with a child who did NOT want to be strapped in her car seat. We waited 30 minutes for these nice people to come move their car from the 10 cars they were blocked. They never showed. Lucky for us, the people next to us left and we were able to maneuver our way out, but the traffic was atrocious! We ended up just spending the night in Tuscaloosa at Jay's house and getting up first thing in the morning to come home. All in all, it was a great weekend, with Alabama winning(just barely), and Addy enjoying her first football game! We hope to enjoy many more!!
