Kara Goucher's Running for Women

This book was so inspiring. Even though I don't run marathons, there was a TON of advice for training for halfs or even 5K's. I always love hearing how people got started in running and her story didn't disappoint me.

She talks of her struggles with injury and it's inspiring to know how HARD she works for what she does. It isn't easy, but because she loves running so much, she works for what she has.

She has an awesome support system, as well. I really cannot say enough about this book. It is a breath of fresh air when maybe you are having some struggles with running.

She even said something that has really stuck with me personally. She talks about how people will comment to runners about how hard it is on your knees and joints.
" The fact is, running is good for your bones and joints- including your knees! Research has shown that among other things, regular movement such as running speeds the rate at which your body naturally replaces cartilidge, which makes it stronger."

I got the idea from someone's blog ( if you know the answer, please let me know and I will credit them!) to send a book that you read and loved to someone who would love to read it and then when they are done with it, they send it to someone who would love to read it, and you create this circle.

I thought it was a fantastic idea, so that's what I am doing. I bought the book and have sent it to Lindsey to read and she will send it to someone. All I ask is that, you write your blog name and your blog address in the inside cover. That way, we will know who has read it!

E-Mealz Review and Giveaway!

SAVE TIME AND MONEY WITH E-MEALZ MEAL PLANS

Lately, I have been having a hard time figuring what to cook for supper. All of my recipes call for tons of ingredients and I am tired of listening to hubs complain about the ever growing food budget. Since I listen to Dave Ramsey a lot, I was aware of E-Mealz but wasn't sure about actually joining- what if I didn't like the recipes?

Well, it turns out the recipes are delicious and it has it's own shopping list.. organized based of grocery store sections. It is working out really well- we are able to eat the left overs the next day for lunch too- so it's like two meals in one!

I really love how organized the list is- say you don't want meal 6? Well, there is a column that says which ingredient is in what meal and you can just mark out every thing needed for meal 6. Super easy!
Plus, it gives you an estimated total of your grocery bill!

They have low carb, Weight Watchers options, gluten free, vegetarian, low fat, couples only options.

And also store specific- Walmart, Kroger, Publix, Aldi, Ralph's, or the any-store option.

The recipes are delicious and for the most part- the girls will eat them. It has really changed our eating habits- dinner at the table every night. And we make Addison try it before she says she doesn't like it.

Don't forget to check out their twitter, blog, and Facebook pages for more ideas, and money saving tips!
Think you're ready to try it?

If you sign up, you can receive 15% off through April 30th!

AND...

I am giving away a 3 month subscription to E-Mealz to one lucky reader!

CSN Review

The super nice peeps over at CSN sent me a drying rack to review. Since this is how I normally dry all my Dry Fit clothes... I thought it was a good idea.

I must say, I really dig this rack. It is collapsable, and fits nicely tucked away in my laundry room. But mostly, it's home is here.

I chose one with a mesh top and it's perfect for socks, sports bras, or even a pair of tempos.

It even has corner pieces that are perfect for my numerous sports bras.

I can fit tons on here. What would normally be spread all over my dining room table, hanging where it would fit in the laundry room and on the hampers, fits all on this rack. I even set it outside yesterday and all the clothes dried in a couple of hours.

I have been super impressed and it helps make doing laundry not such a pain. Here is the link to purchase your very own! Thanks so much CSN
