A Case of the Mondays... on Thursday

Do you ever feel super tired? Too tired to even sit on the couch and watch The Rachel Zoe Project? Yeah... I've been THAT tired today. John left this morning for San Antonio.. at 5 am. There was a leak in the girls tub, and Claire woke up with a runny nose. I messed a clients order up. All before 9 am. I was already over this day at 9 am. I did wash some clothes.. I have yet to fold them.

Have I told you how much I am loving my new job? I really am, but on my days off... it's kicking my butt and I am super scared that the photography business is going to suffer. I have already decided that I must get a housekeeper just to take one thing from the to do list. I can handle the laundry. I can handle some cooking. I can handle the photography business. I can handle the house cleaning. I can handle all of those things separately, just not all together. Since, I'm not going to give my kids away, I guess I can hire someone to clean my house.

Also? I'm really over this house. It needs to sell. I need my own area. BAD. The girls need a play room. BAD. It's just getting a little ridiculous. I also wish I lived somewhere different just for the sole fact of running. I want to be able to run out my front door, not drive 15 minutes to run somewhere.

AND. I really want someone to run Disney Princess Half with me. No one can commit at this point, and I know I want to do it, but I really want to do it with a friend. Because, it's a super fun race and you need a buddy.

Another thing? I'm really tired of these funks I get in with not taking pictures of my children everyday.. and somedays I do, and I totally plan to blog about them, but then I forget about them or they don't get edited right away.

I really need to get over myself.

Okay, enough of my pity party for now...

Workout Tuesday

Hi all!! Hope you are having a fabulous Tuesday... I am just settling in from a cray-cray morning. Addison sweet talked me into playing hookie from school, and I am REALLY wishing I wouldn't have given in. As part of my anniversary gift/bribe for a new tv, I got my Garmin 405. It's super awesome and I have been wanting to try it out, but it doesn't work indoors and I am a slave to the treadmill since I like to run in the coolness. I had planned on getting up at 430 yesterday morning and going for a run before work, but Addison had other plans such as playing in my bedroom floor at 3 am. Guess who couldn't go back to sleep until 4:15? This girl. And.. I hit the snooze this morning because I hadn't slept well through the night. BAD excuse... I need someone with an air horn to get me up in the mornings. So, I took the girls to the gym and hit the streets around the complex. It wasn't too hot outside, and I ran 1.30 miles outside and then hit the treadmill for another 1.20 miles for a total of 2.5 miles. Not too shabby.

Although, I realized this morning that I could totally run the Midnight Run on Friday since I am not going to San Antonio with John. :( Sad day... No babysitter and no support team. Oh well...

Now, can anyone tell me how to link my Garmin to post my mileage on here? I've seen it on some blogs and I'm not sure how to do it.. I want y'all to know how many miles I am rocking out. ;)

Also, is anyone planning on running the Disney Half? Because I totally need a running buddy for that.

5 Years Ago Today...

5 Years Ago Today:

was one of the best days of my life. I woke up to the realization that I didn't have my wedding dress in my possession. Then, once it was in my possession, it was a good two sizes too big. But, I didn't care. My mom would fix it. I had to concentrate on marrying the man of my dreams.

A lot of that day is a blur. I couldn't tell you what I ate for breakfast. I remember paying to get my hair done, but not the actual process. Most of that day, my memories are spending great time, in a little room, getting ready with my best friends. My Dad and Step-Mom brought Chick fil a to everyone. I remember that I began to panic a little, when I realized that my bridesmaids had left me and all I had left to do was walk down the aisle. I can remember shaking and my Step-Dad asked me if I was nervous, and I said, "I'm shaking!!" I don't remember much of the actual ceremony, but I remember turning to light the Unity candle and seeing my Mother In Law bawling her eyes out. Most importantly? I remember the preacher saying the WRONG NAME when he pronounced us to the congregation.

I remember hiding in the back of the reception and scarfing down food. I remember one of the best wedding receptions I've ever been to. Maybe it was because it was mine.

Everything that's happened since that day has been more magical than the actual day to me. Bringing two babies in the world. Actually growing up.

Spending these last five years with my husband, I realize how far I have come. How much he has changed and molded me for the better. Not everything has been fairytales and sugar coated. Let's face it, it just can't be that way all the time. You have to have your downs, so you enjoy the ups.

Some would say that the first year of marriage is hardest. I would disagree. Yes, the adjustment is hard, but for me? I would say the 3rd year of marriage was hardest. That was a tough year. I will definitely say that that's the year that I grew the most. And I realized that there is nothing more that I want in the life than to spend it with this man.

I love you so much. Thanks for everything that you have done for me. Here's to 50 more!

Level 3...

So, I bit the bullet last night, and upped the anty to level 3 of the Shred. It was tough, but I don't think it was tougher than moving from level 1 to level 2. I feel like level 3 is more glutes and abs whereas level 2 focuses on arms and shoulders. Since my arms are the weakest part of my body, I guess that's why level 2 is rough.

My last couple of runs haven't been great. I'm doing them on the treadmill, which, is boring beyond boring. And... it's hot, people. Like, REAL hot. And my gym is one of those fancy kind that use water or something to cool the place down. I don't understand or even try to understand how it works, alls I know is, it's hot in there. And, I am noticing, if I am already kind of hot, and with no COLD water, my runs blow. I am a diva runner, I guess. I have been walking a LOT on these last two runs. This mornings run, my knees were hurting, which is unusual for me, but then, I came home and did level 3 and remembered all those JUMPS. There's the reason for my knees. Stupid Jillian.

Since, Addison has started to school everyday, I took Claire to the gym nursery, which, you know I don't like to do, but I had to get my run in somehow. She cried when I handed her over, so I quickly left and got on my treadmill. When I went back to get her, the girls told me she cried for a little bit, but they put her in the floor and told everyone to leave her alone, and she literally, laid in the floor without moving for 30 minutes. When I came in, I called her name, and she turned her little head around in search for her mama, and her bottom lip started trembling and big crocodile tears starting running down her face as she jumped up and ran to me. It was pitiful and I gave myself the crap mom award. So, I guess no more gym nursery for Claire.

Here's a funny story( this blog post is turning into a hodge podge). Yesterday, I was getting Addison dressed and she heard Trixie barking. She said, "What is Trixie barking at, Mama?" I replied,"I don't know, sweetheart." She came back with, "Maybe it's a person, or a dog, OR a fox, OR SOME SORT OF CREATURE!!" I died. Rachel Zoe style.

And since, I want y'all to have a wonderful Thursday.. here is a video clip. I feel certain that if you are from this area, you have seen this on Facebook, but for those who haven't.. here ya go...

Your Welcome.  And, let's not forget the Antoine Bed Intruder Song...

This happened in Huntsville.. which is about an hour from here. Gotta love Alabama.

First Day of School

Yesterday was Addison's first day of school. She started her new class and also started going 5 days instead of 3 days. There was very little drama as she was excited, and I even got a few pictures! She had to have her Dora umbrella...

How cute is her little outfit?

Strike a pose...

As I dropped her off, I saw all of the mama's dropping their babies off at school, and they were parking instead of using the driveway to drop off. I pulled up, like the old pros, we are, and got out and opened her car door, which was about the time that Mrs. Rose opened the door to school, and Addison shot off like a rocket and was inside before I could shout, "I love you!" What a big girl!

When I got home, she showed me all of her artwork, and told me what a good day she had.

This morning, when I dropped her off, I could see all around us, the children having meltdowns. I felt so bad for them and was so thankful that Addison never did that.

Yesterday, I went to the gym after work, and completed 3 miles on the treadmill, I walked the last mile, but I have to get over this hump! There is some sort of mental block that won't let me run over two miles.. and I've got to get over it if I am going to complete 13.1 in Feb.

How do you get over these humps?

By the way, everyone's comments for the giveaway are awesome!!! For those of you( quite a lot) that like hummus, what kind do you buy? Or do you make your own?
